~Schedule for a Swim Team Pracice Day for Me~
Before I go to the place I am swimming at, I choose to wear my swim suit underneath my dry clothes so its easier for me to change when I am at the practice. |
After I change into my wet suit and dry suit on top, I usually like to pack my bag with a protein bar and some water, and I also keep my swimming cap, goggles, shorts or leggings and a top in the bag. |
When I get to swim class, I change into my swimming suit and go over to the class and say hi to my friends and then we all start warm-ups together. After around 15 minutes of warm-ups, we go on to our real practice and start that for 45 minutes. |
My class usually finishes in an hour (take or add around 5 minutes, and I have a short class because I am a beginner at a bronze level, and there is also developmental under me and silver and gold above me.) and after it finishes me and my friends go to the opposite pool for a while. |
I usually hang around in the other pool (it is known as the warm pool because the lap pool is freezing) for 15 minutes, and most of the days I have swim practice, I like to go to the gym and work out for around 30 minutes. |
Before starting my workout I change into the shorts or leggings, and after I finish the workout, I normally shower in the stalls and change back into my dry clothes. |
After I am done with my swim classes, (all of this takes about 2-3 hours depending on the practice and coaches) I am usually pretty hungry, so on the way back I eat my protein bar, and then when I get home I eat a proper dinner. |
This is how a trypical day goes when I have swimtea, however, because of covid, I haven't really gotten a chance to go swimming. I am a beginner however, so I have a lot to improve, so people who are more advanced in swimming probably have a tighter schedule with more competitions! |
